Harp Lager
While I was at the store today, I picked up a six-pack of Harp. Knowing that it’s one of Ryan’s favorite beers, I was hoping for good things. It poured a nice golden color with a head that dissipated fairly quickly. However, on my first sip I could only think of one thing: Bud Light…. → Read More
Black and Tan
Enjoying a fabulous Black and Tan at a dive bar in NYC 🙂 Almost as good as a Black Velvet!
Warsteiner, Blue Moon, Strongbow and Longboard
Tonight’s selections from the Taco Mac? I began with a Warsteiner, a fine lager with a hint of bitter, while the wife stuck with Ol’ Reliable, her favorite Blue Moon. Second? She decided on a Strongbow Cider. Me? I went with a longtime fave from the Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian – Longboard! It’s a… → Read More
Taco Mac – Beer Lovers Heaven
Just down the street from my house, and in locations across the wide expanse of metro Atlanta lies Taco Mac. It is a beer lover’s paradise. Here’s a picture of only the draught beer menu. There’s nearly 100 beers on tap. Try double that available in bottles. And people wonder why we love coming here…. → Read More
Birra Moretti La Rossa
Before officially starting to Drink Around the World, lunch at Via Napoli was necessary… as was a little La Rossa! Had a stronger hoppy flavor than what I was expecting, but we liked it. It went really well with the pizza. Since I mainly had only light apps though, it was slightly too heavy with… → Read More
Abita Restoration Pale Ale

In 2005 Hurricanes Katrina and Rita barreled into the southeast and southwest coasts of Louisiana respectively. With this beer, Abita raised over $500,000 for hurricane relief. Since then it’s become a regularly… → Read More
Abita Purple Haze and an Announcement
Tonight’s beer of choice is Abita Purple Haze. It’s a raspberry wheat beer; the scent and the front end of the taste definitely lets you know raspberries were added to the beer. The back end has a wheaty, grainy taste. Purple Haze is very cloudy with an almost grapefruit-like color. Honestly, this isn’t my favorite… → Read More
Casa from Tangeriene Cafe
My favorite World Showcase beer, and one you can’t find (or I can’t) outside the World, is Casa, from Morocco. It’s light, refreshing and quite smooth. I adore it.
Harp Lager from Yorkshire County Fish Shop
My 2nd fave beer in World Showcase, and favorite at home is Harp Lager. My love affair started right here at the UK pavilion, and it’s a must do for me whenever I’m here.
Dos Equis from La Cantina
A fine Dos Equis from La Cantina. My first of the day in World Showcase, but not my last. Stay tuned…
