Rogue Voodoo Doughnut

June 6th, 2012 by in Beer Culture, Other Beer Reviews

Rogue hit another home run with this quirky combination of doughnut, maple syrup and BACON?

I don’t know about you but I can’t pass up any beer in a pink bottle. Speaking of the bottle, I would highly recommend only opening this bottle if you either have plenty of time to drink or reinforcements to share this bottle. Plus it doesn’t hurt that beer goes well with good friends.

Beyond the salty bacon with doughnut like sweet breading aroma. You won’t notice a strong flavor of bacon or maple syrup until the after taste. When you do taste those flavors; you don’t find it in a negative way, it’s rather the opposite.
I enjoyed this strange creation and I hope you will too. As a side note I know this beer has been a bit popular around here as some of the stores in the area have had it in stock. Most are out of this rare find, but others are getting second shipments to catch up to the demand of a truly unique offering.

I have been itching to go to VooDoo Doughnut ever since I heard about their maple bacon doughnut. Slightly the main reason why I want to go visit my relatives out in Portland. But now they made a beer out of it!??! OMG!
