Unibroue Blanche de Chambly
October 3rd, 2011 by Scott in Walt Disney World Beer Reviews
Great news beer lovers! Bob Basl has reported to us that three Unibroue beers are now available outside of Le Cellier at the Canada Beer Cart. The three beers available are Éphémère, Trois Pistoles, and Blanche de Chambly.
As with all the Unibroue beers, each one has a story. Traditionally, white ales are supposed be named for the city they are brewed in. Blanche de Chambly is also Unibroue’s original brew; it was created in honor of the militiamen who defended Lower Canada from invasion in 1812. More on the ale can be found on the Unibroue website.
As for the beer itself, it is a witbier that has a light flowery scent. The flavor is crisp and clean with primarily lemon but also other citrus and wheat. A nice carbonation dissipates on the tongue and finishes clean and smooth. It’s a very easy ale to drink.
I think it’s wonderful that Epcot decided to serve these beers outside of Le Cellier. However, Kimberly Knight also sent me a tweet with some not-so-good news. She asked a cast member at the Canada Beer Cart, and they claim the Unibroue ales are only at the cart for the duration of the 2011 Epcot Food and Wine Festival. Unibroue’s appearance at the Canada Beer Cart may be short-lived; however, if you’re out drinking at Epcot, be sure to mention that you’d like to see these at the cart all the time!

If they’re at the cart for only the festival, they should be offered in 6-oz pours! 🙂 I didn’t think to ask the CM when I went up to see which Unibroue’s they had. He was too excited telling me to try Moosehead for some reason.
