Updated Standard Beer Menu at Walt Disney World

October 1st, 2012 by in Walt Disney World Beer Reviews

Every once in a while Walt Disney World will update the standard bar menu for most of the Disney-owned restaurants and lounges on property. Whenever this bar menu changes, the beers in the menu tend to change a bit. The pale lager standbys are usually still there; it’s the more interesting beers that tend to change. Here’s the new menu:

These nineteen beers are now the most easily found beers in Walt Disney World. Gone from the list are:

While few who read this site will lament the loss of Bud Light Lime, Corona Light, and Dos Equis, some of the other substitutions are more interesting. Guinness, the beer synonymous with the word stout, has been replaced with Young’s Double Chocolate Stout. Sierra Nevada, one of the most popular craft brewers, has had both its beers replaced with lesser known beers. Pale Ale was replaced by Terrapin Rye Pale Ale, while Napa Smith Organic IPA has replaced Torpedo IPA. Disney has also made an effort to have gluten free options easily available with the additions of Angry Orchard and Omission Lager.

Interestingly, the removal of these six beers did not completely remove them from Walt Disney World property at this time. All six can be found at other restaurants and bars; Bud Light Lime and Corona Light are still on the pool bar menu, while Dos Equis and Guinness are still readily available in World Showcase.

Our Walt Disney World Beer List as well as the iOS app and web app have been updated to reflect the changes in the standard bar menu. As always, if you find anything inaccurate on our beer lists, please let us know!
