We’re under 70 days until our family trip to Walt Disney World, so let’s take a look at the rest of the table service restaurants we’re planning to dine in. Previously I’ve discussed the resort, Port Orleans Riverside, and the restaurants for the first part of the trip. Wednesday will be our Disney-MGM, I mean Disney’s Hollywood Studios day. I’m not a fan of the food in Hollywood Studios, so I had other ideas for our dinner and ended up [ Read More ]
Happy Hunger Games Disney Beer Tournament! 64 beers have been entered as tribute, but only one can be crowned the Disney Beer Tournament champion. You may recall this was the Walt Disney World Beer Tournament last year. Since we’ve expanded to include a Disneyland Resort Beer List and an Epcot Food and Wine Festival Beer List, we’ve decided to include the beers on those lists as well. In order to qualify for the tournament, a beer needs to be on at [ Read More ]
Last time I wrote about my upcoming trip in June, I went over the hotel selection and spent some time looking at Port Orleans – Riverside, which is where we will be staying. Not long after making the hotel reservation it was time to make dining reservations. One morning in early December (180 days exactly from the first day of the trip) I was up at 5:00 AM Central time to try to get all these reservations for nine. At the [ Read More ]
As you may or may not have heard, I’m heading down to Walt Disney World in June. It’s going to be a rather large trip; my wife, three children, and I are going as well as my parents, sister and her boyfriend. Planning for nine is no easy undertaking, so I’ve been working on this for a while. After nailing down the dates with working around school ending and everything else, first up was figuring out the resort we would [ Read More ]
On my last trip to Disney World, I got a chance to try out a new-ish beer offering in the Japan pavilion at Epcot, Frozen Kirin. When I first heard about it, I had imagined a beer slushie. How awesome would that be?! Alas, it was not to be. The Frozen Kirin was a bit of a disappointment. It was just a Kirin with some frozen beer foam on top. When you order it, there is a special machine that [ Read More ]
Every once in a while Walt Disney World will update the standard bar menu for most of the Disney-owned restaurants and lounges on property. Whenever this bar menu changes, the beers in the menu tend to change a bit. The pale lager standbys are usually still there; it’s the more interesting beers that tend to change. Here’s the new menu: Angry Orchard Hard Cider – Crisp Apple Blue Moon Bud Light Budweiser Coors Light Corona Full Sail Session Black Lager [ Read More ]

We’re still updating our Walt Disney World Beer List iOS App! This update puts the beer reviews we’ve done right in the beer’s details. Instead of searching through the blog section, just pull up a beer and all the reviews for that beer are right there. You can of course still look through all our articles in the blog tab. An iOS app surprise will be coming in the not too distant future, so keep an eye out (sorry Android [ Read More ]
We’ve been listening to your requests, and version 1.3 of the Walt Disney World Beer List app contains one of the most popular ones. Since day one app users have been requesting a checklist feature, and it’s something we’ve been working on for a while. Each beer on the WDW Beers tab of the app now has a little circle next to it. Simply touch the circle to check off a beer; the circle fills in with a green checkmark [ Read More ]
The last three weeks have been exciting around here as we held the first ever Walt Disney World Beer Tournament! Over 3,000 votes were cast as we went from 64 beers down to the champion! The final match pitted Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale against Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. As far as Walt Disney World is concerned, these two beers are very different. Arrogant Bastard is only served in one location, Raglan Road, while Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is found at [ Read More ]
