2013 Disney Beer Tournament Round 4 (Elite Eight)

Only eight beers remain in this year’s Disney Beer Tournament! These matchups will determine the champions for each region. The final four beers and the championship match will take place next week, and the following Monday we will announce the winner! For this round, voting will end Sunday, March 31, 2013 at 6:00 pm Central. We’ll extend the time a little bit since it’s Easter.

Mickey’s up first!

Altenmünster Oktoberfest continues to handle all comers; the number one overall seed makes it to the Mickey finals! Rogue Dead Guy Ale narrowly beat Abita Amber for the right to face off against the German favorite.

Who’s left in the Donald region? Let’s find out!

Unibroue La Fin Du Monde easily beat Unibroue Éphémère to make it to the regional final. Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA continues to blast the competition and takes the other slot in the final!

Here’s the Minnie region final!

Guinness Draught defeated the number one seed in the Minnie region to move on and face Kona Fire Rock Pale Ale. Fire Rock narrowly defeated Ommegang Three Philosophers.

Finally, the last match of the Goofy region!

Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale continues to move through the bracket by defeating Kona Longboard Lager. Bell’s Two-Hearted Ale finally took down Unibroue Maudite, our ale on fire. It’s like an alternate ending of The Hunger Games where Katniss dies at the feast.
