Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA

One of the most popular beers and a member of the Final Four of the 2014 Disney Beer Tournament was Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA. During the tournament we realized no one had reviewed 90 Minute, so now that the tournament is over I’m going to give it a proper review (or as proper as we get around here)!

I could try to write up a description of how they brew this beer, but it’s probably better to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth.

This 90 minute hopping party gives the beer 90 IBU and 9.0% ABV. 90 Minute Imperial IPA also has a copper color with a small white head. Hops and citrus in the nose give away the primary flavors. Grapefruit, citrus, pine, but also a nice amount of biscuit and caramel. None of these flavors overpower and the balance changes as the liquid warms.

Despite its deliciousness, we only know of a couple of places that serve 90 Minute at the parks. The Flying Fish Café at the Boardwalk and Sci-Fi Drive-In Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are the only two on-property restaurants we know of, which is a bit of a shame considering how good it is.
