Who wants a Guinness?
Sadly it wasn’t I who drank this beauty, I had to save my liver for the last country of the Drinking Around the World. But I had to take a picture of the lovely executed clover that our fabulous bartender drew. Uhh… even though that’s not the part that’s in focus…. And hopefully next time… → Read More
One of My New Favorites – Éphémére by Unibroue
I was at a restaurant in Cleveland last week and decided to get a little wild in my beer choice. I landed on an ale with apple juice flavor added. The flavor was really different, but I was pleasantly surprised! This beer is very, very sweet and I doubt I could drink more than two… → Read More
Redhook – Winter Hook
The winter ale offering from Redhook is known as Winter Hook. A great seasonal microbrew!
Redhook ESB Original Ale
A reminder of home (I’m from the great state of Washington). Redhook has a brewery in Woodinville, WA (not far from Seattle) as well as Portsmouth, NH (a fact I just learned tonight). A great Northwest microbrew!
Clown Shoes – Clementine
Clown Shoes is a new to the market brand of microbrew out of Ipswich, MA. Black Velvet at Rose & Crown
The winner of the night, and my all time favorite drink when both beers are available… the Black Velvet! Didn’t think we’d make it this far in our adventure but we did! Half Guinness…half cider….in this case it was Strongbow (my favorite). Some people think Guiness is too heavy, others think cider is too sweet…. → Read More
Kronenbourg 1664
Almost done with our adventure… in France? Had to grab a Kronenbourg 1664. Enjoyed this one. Not sure if it was just from our blah experience in Morocco but this was light and slightly sweet. Would get it again…Nice appetizer for the Guinness at our next stop…
Casa at Tangerine Cafe
By far our least favorite of the whole adventure… Out of the three of us, none of us really enjoyed it. To me it tasted way too bitter. Would I drink it again? Only if I had to…I hear there’s some yummy fruity drinks in Morocco that I’ve yet to try!
Sapporo at the Yakitori House
Not gonna lie…things started getting slightly fuzzy around here. We pushed on through though and grabbed a Sapporo at the Yakitori House, along with a Shogun sampler to fill our stomachs with yummy greasy Japanese food. We liked this one as well… light and refreshing. A nice change from the heavy Sam’s Winter we just… → Read More
