Abita SOS Pilsner

This 1 pint, 6 oz beer is labeled as “Save Our Shore – A Charitable Pilsner” and $.15 from the sale of every bottle goes to “the rescue and restoration of the environment, industry, and individuals fighting to survive this disastrous oil spill.” Being from the south, I felt it was my duty to buy and try this beer! (Doesn’t hurt that I love Abita anyway!)
I LOVE this beer! It is an unfiltered “Weizen Pils” and has a lot of bite! Not too much though, the finish is so smooth, you just can’t wait to take another sip! Cool, crisp, and refreshing, but without the softness of a weizen or the harshness of an IPA. LOVE.
