Young’s Double Chocolate Stout
June 9th, 2011 by Jenn in Walt Disney World Beer Reviews
Ordered this based on a recommendation from my friend since he knew I’m a huge fan of stouts and chocolate.
From their site:
Unsurprisingly for a beer from the Young’s stable, Double Chocolate Stout has been recognised as an award-winning brew on several occasions, including: Brewing Industry International Awards Gold Medal Winner 2000, Silver Medal Winner 2002 and Bronze Medal Winner 1998 and 2004. 5.2% ABV
This was deeeeeelicious! Stronger and slightly heavier than a Guinness, with a distinct dark chocolate kick at the end. Reminded us of an adult chocolate milk. The smell of chocolate was definitely there from the first whiff. Not too heavy though and I could definitely drink a few more of these in one sitting.
I’ve seen this on tap, in bottles, and in the nitro-cans. Keep an eye out next time you’re looking for a good stout!

The Flying Saucer here in Houston makes ice cream floats with this brew. I haven’t had one yet, but I’m interested.

Yes, quite delicious. (I got beat to the punch on the Flying Saucer thing.)

Strange, I just got the notifications today about these two comments! I would DEF try a float with this stuff, yum!
