Beer Specials at ESPN Wide World of Sports for Spring Training

March 3rd, 2014 by in Walt Disney World Beer Reviews

IMG_1198The Atlanta Braves are back at the ESPN Wide World of Sports for Spring Traning, and we’ve been informed of some beer specials for the games.

First, for the Atlanta faithful, SweetWater 420 Extra Pale Ale and Tomahawk Ale will be served. I started looking into Tomahawk Ale online and it seemed remarkably similar to Safari Amber. While emailing with Jim at WWoS I asked about Tomahawk and I was told it was very similar. I suspect that it’s the same beer, but I can’t quite prove it.

Also, each game at Wide World of Sports will feature a “visiting beer” depending on the team the Braves play. Some of these, such as Orlando Brewing I-4 IPA and Funky Buddha Floridian Hefeweizen, aren’t normally found at Walt Disney World. Others, like Shiner Bock and Bell’s Oberon, are already available in some Disney World locations.

If you’re heading to the Wide World of Sports for a Spring Training game, here’s the schedule along with the visiting beer!
