Sea Dog Blue Paw Wild Blueberry Wheat Ale

I wanted to like this beer…I really did. But I just couldn’t do it. The initial taste of the beer was meh. Nothing to write home about. The aftertaste though made up for it slightly, but it tasted like I had just eaten a blueberry muffin, but not what a beer should taste like. Strange…. → Read More

St. Bernardus Prior 8

Today after work I picked up a sampler four-pack of St. Bernardus beers; the pack also included a St. Bernardus trappist glass.  First up from this sampler pack is Prior 8.  It’s an excellent brew with a bit of a sweet taste and very drinkable with an 8% alcohol content.  Just what I need after… → Read More

Starting off the festivities…Rogue Mocha Porter

Since I’m on a Rogue kick, started off with this beauty….Fell in love right away.  Coffee & chocolate flavors were fabulous. Dare I say that it reminded me of Guinness yet slightly smoother and lighter? Hope everyone had a great New Year!

Happy New Year! – Petrus Tripel

This is an extremely foamy but good beer; fitting for New Year’s as it looks like a champange bottle. Happy New Year to everyone!

Third Coast Beer by Bell’s

Giving this a whirl tonight from a great Michigan brewer. My first sip was superb!

Sam Adams Old Fezziwig Ale

Finishing out my Sam Adams pack with some Old Fezziwig Ale on New Year’s Eve. Wherever you are, whatever you’re drinking, have a fabulous New Year!

Good Wisconsin Beer

Wow! I tried this beer at dinner and it blew me away! I LOVED it! If you like Blue Moon, you need to find and taste this beer! I’ll be going back to the restaurant we went to tonight specifically because of this beer! woot!

St. Arnold Divine Reserve #10

Tonight I’m having the latest from the St. Arnold Divine Reserve series, #10.  This one is an English barleywine and is based on the recipe of a Houston homebrewer who won the Big Batch Brew Bash.  It’s 11% ABV with a sweet and somewhat hoppy taste; the beer also looks thicker than it is.  I… → Read More
