Last night I was out and the bartender leans over and says, “You want a little sumpin’ sumpin’?”

Fresh! I giggled. And then got REALLY embarrassed when I realized…

He was just asking if I wanted another beer.

Lagunitas A Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale

Confession. I actually hated this beer the first time I tasted it. I felt like someone was making me drink cat pee. But for some reason, on a fall evening, and because it was the only Lagunitas available at the Lindley Park Filling Station in downtown Greensboro, I decided to give it a try once more. And now it is slowly catching up in the race for my favorite lag. Let’s chat.

This beer is stronger than most I like. And it’s an even higher ABV than the Pils. And, it kind of actually does taste like cat pee on the first sip. (I’m just doing this to see how many of you will tweet me @kidanikatie and say, “OMG have you actually TRIED cat pee?” Because you will.)

But as I was sitting there I decided I actually did need A Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ and when I got it, it was dang good. So I think in summarization:
Lagunitas Pils > Lagunitas A Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ > Lagunitas New Dogtown Pale Ale which are all > Lagunitas IPA
