You guys and girls really make this tournament entertaining. Let’s start with some reactions to the second round results.
PEOPLE! Saison Dupont losing in @beersandears tournament is just…it's just sad

I'm proud of Three Philosophers hanging in there…clearly the best on the list…still crossing fingers. @beersandears

If Two-Hearted Ale doesn't win, this whole tournament will start to smell fishy…. /cc @beersandears

Remember when @WonderlandNerds threatened to flip tables if Saison Dupont lost?

The choices in round three got quite a bit harder for some!
Literally stared at this screen for 5 minutes trying to decide. @beersandears making things tough this round!! pic.twitter.com/RkS150qPj9

For others, round three solidified their favorites.
Racer 5 all the way. If sitting behind Flo's with one at twilight isn't part of your DCA routine you're missing out. @beersandears

Speaking of Racer 5, the matchup between #teamgrapefruit and Racer 5 came down to the wire. You all had lots to say about that.
HOW IS #TEAMGRAPEFRUIT LOSING TO RACER 5. I MEAN CARSLAND IS COOL AND ALL BUT THIS IS GRAPEFRUIT BEER WERE TALKIN HERE @beersandears
— Gregory Lane Nichols (@lanenichols) March 24, 2014

@TheWickedWench @beersandears @hintofspy If Racer 5 loses to a grapefruit beer I'm going to lose my mind. And maybe start drinking PBR!
— Nerds in Wonderland (@WonderlandNerds) March 26, 2014
@beersandears @WonderlandNerds @TheWickedWench *i* will flip tables.
— Kendra (@hintofspy) March 26, 2014
@BearRepublic @beersandears The fact that this is tied is ridiculous. I'm going to create a brew for these people with OJ…AND NOTHING ELSE

After threatening a coin toss a few times, you’ll be pleased to know that it did not come down to a coin toss and when the polls closed there was a winner. Who won? Let’s get to the results and, of course, the voting for regional champions. Voting will close Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 7:00 PM EDT/6:00 PM CDT.
First, as always, the full bracket (enlarge by clicking it if you can’t wait to get to the region to find out who won).
Let’s get right to the result everyone’s been waiting for! Here’s the Mickey region.
In the end, six more votes came through for Racer 5 than Schöfferhofer Grapefruit in a match that was tied until the last few hours. Racer 5 gets the privilege of facing Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA, who beat Terrapin Hopsecutioner with 59% of the votes.
We’re determining regional champions here; who will be your Mickey region champion?
We’re nowhere near done yet, though. Who advanced to the Minnie region championship?
The top two seeds have made it to the Minnie region final. First, Cigar City Jai Alai IPA once again advances over Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA with 63% of the vote. It will face off against Abita Purple Haze, who pulled out 58% of the vote over Kona Fire Rock Pale Ale. We know @kimberknight is happy Purple Haze has made it to the Elite 8.
Choose your Minnie regional champion!
Let’s review the Donald region next!
Ommegang Three Philosophers continues its unlikely 13 seed journey by beating the eight seed Cigar City Florida Cracker White Ale with 59% of the vote. Even more unlikely is the 15 seed Widmer Hefeweizen besting three seed Hoegaarden with 62% of votes cast.
The Donald region is definitely the underdog region; which underdog is going to become the champion?
Finally, let’s see who won in the Goofy region!
The largest margin of victory in round three went to top seed Chimay Blue who won over Young’s Double Chocolate Stout with 66% of the vote. It faces two seed Bell’s Two-Hearted Ale in a battle of the top seeds in the Goofy region.
Who will win the Goofy region? Choose now!
Polls close Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 7:00 PM EDT/6:00 PM CDT. Make sure your voice is heard before then; on Monday, March 31 we’ll reveal the regional champions and the Final Four!

That final vote for Chimay came in way after the polls closed….was that the result of the coin toss?

The one thing we can’t do with these polls at this point is actually shut them down without deleting them. I’m going to send in a suggestion to Polar to add a feature to close a poll. Our process for now is to take a screen shot at closing time. At 7:01 PM EDT there was a winner by one vote.
