Frozen Kirin in Japan Pavilion

January 3rd, 2013 by in Walt Disney World Beer Reviews

On my last trip to Disney World, I got a chance to try out a new-ish beer offering in the Japan pavilion at Epcot, Frozen Kirin. When I first heard about it, I had imagined a beer slushie. How awesome would that be?! Alas, it was not to be. The Frozen Kirin was a bit of a disappointment. It was just a Kirin with some frozen beer foam on top. When you order it, there is a special machine that dispenses that icy layer on top. But the foam isn’t just for show, it actually helps keep the beer cold for a decent amount of time. As the foam melts, it keeps the beer below it cool. Perfect for those hot Florida days.

Overall, I was a bit disappointed with the drink, but only because I expected something different. It’s worth trying the next time you are in Epcot, but not really a must do every trip.
